Ethical Business Practices
3b  Ensure that Target or authorized third party is permitted to conduct employee interviews.
3h  Target or authorized third party must be allowed to conduct management interviews.

Health and Safety

Freedom of Association

retaliation. Sensitivity training should be conducted for supervisors/managers.


License and Permitting


EV8b Factory must provide current and valid environmental permits and licenses as required by local law.

 

Wages

20b Employees must be paid legal minimum wage.

 

Working Hours and Overtime

17d Must have time keeping system in the factory to accurately record working hours for all employees.
19c Employees must be allowed to decline overtime without penalty.
19d Employees must be given one day off after 13 consecutive days of work.
19o Employees must not work more than 60 hours per week, including overtime. Target considers 80 or more hours per week
egregious.


No Underage Labor


22b Must maintain copies of legal age verification documents for all employees.

 

No Harassment


27b Employees shall never be verbally mistreated.

 

Environmental Management and Monitoring Systems


EVHG01 Higg FEM Verification not completed in the last 12 months and no RS Environmental Assessment was completed in
Disclosure.
EVHG02 The current Higg FEM Self-Assessment module is incomplete.


Water Stewardship


EV7c Factory must ensure no wastewater is bypassing the effluent treatment plant (ETP) and directly discharging into surrounding environment or municipal system.
